INNOCENT PEOPLE DIE...

Human beings may be the only creatures who fail to truly learn from their mistakes. In the past 125 years, we have witnessed two world wars and countless conflicts, resulting in the deaths of over 150 million people and more than 150 million wounded. Sadly, the numbers are still rising. Meanwhile, the media and politics lull us into complacency, allowing a small minority to grow their power and wealth.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was signed in 1948 by 58 member countries. Today, there are 193 members in the United Nations. But are we really living by the first three articles?

1.      All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

2.      Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.

3.      Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.

Now, compare two photos: one from Ukraine and another from Palestine. The difference is only in time and place — the story is the same. Innocent people die. My hope is that humanity will reach the awareness that these images are reflections of one another. Race, religion, colour, or nationality do not change that reality.

When I look at such photos, I feel many things: shame for living in comfort while others suffer, helplessness for doing nothing, and anger toward those who cause the suffering. And I wonder — especially as Europeans — why do we separate these tragedies? Why do we treat Ukraine and Palestine with different levels of compassion and consciousness?

For many years, I felt deep sympathy for Israel and its people because of the Holocaust. Through solidarity, they overcame unimaginable cruelty and built a powerful nation. But I never imagined that the victims of one Holocaust would inflict another tragedy upon another people. Today, humanity, touched for decades by Holocaust stories and films, simply watches a sequel by doing nothing. We are satisfying ourselves that our countries drop some food with parachutes to Palastine.. I am sure many people feeds their dogs in a better way..

In today’s corrupted world, we cannot tell whose hands are in whose pockets, or who profits from suffering and death. Politicians (such as One Minute Man..) speak against Israel publicly, yet support it behind closed doors. Hypocrisy runs deep everywhere. But let us not forget — politicians are merely a reflection of society itself.

There are more than enough resources on this planet to sustain every living being. There is no logical reason for conflict between nations. If we wake up, stop being brainwashed by political populism and distorted religious narratives, and begin to understand who we are, what the universe is, and what we truly need — we could transform this world into a kind of heaven.

Change can only be built on four pillars: power, money, media, and awareness. As individuals, the only one we truly control is awareness. Yet together, united, awareness can bring power, money, and media under the will of the majority. We are the World…

Do not try to bend the spoon — realize that there is no spoon.

Do not join a war — awaken the wisdom to prevent all wars.
